Lumebox review and whether it’s worth it

I’m sharing my full thoughts on the Lumebox and if I think it’s worth it! If you’d like to add one to your collection, check it out here – they’re 50% off all tonight and are their biggest sale of the year!

Hello friends! How are you? I hope you have a wonderful week. It’s a busy area here — we have symphony rehearsals all week — and I managed to sneak away for a date with a friend between strategy calls.

For today’s post, I wanted to share an updated review of the Lumebox now that I’ve been using it for a few months. It’s been one of my favorite things to add to my morning wellness routine, and I love it more than I ever thought I would.

Here’s what my current routine looks like:

– Eye care routine

– Taking the children to school and taking them with them

– Breakfast – Almost always Protein Pudding with Daily Nutritional Support, Trovani, Nutzu and Berries + Danger Decaf Coffee.

– Recharge time: Sit on a PEMF mat (code FITNESSISTA15) with my Lumebox, meditate for about 10 minutes, journal for about 5 minutes

It’s only a 15 minute routine but it makes a difference in my mood and energy for the rest of the day! Here are some additional details about Lumebox.

Lumebox review and whether it’s worth it

What is Lumibox?

The Lumebox is a compact and powerful red light therapy device designed for use at home and travel, because it is portable. Provides targeted red and near infrared (NIR) light to support skin health, muscle recovery and overall health. It is beautifully designed using medical LED technology, and is very easy to use.

Key Features of Lumebox

Dual Wavelength Technology: Combines red light (660nm) and near infrared (850nm) for deeper penetration and enhanced benefits.

PORTABLE AND LIGHTWEIGHT: Small enough for on-the-go use but powerful enough for full therapy sessions.

Timer function: It turns off automatically after 6 minutes.

Low EMF Emission: Designed for safe use with minimal exposure to electromagnetic field.

USB Charging: Convenient and rechargeable for wireless use.

handle! This makes it very easy to hold.

How red light therapy can benefit you

Red light therapy has been extensively studied and proven to support multiple areas of health, including:

Skin health: It can reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne, and hyperpigmentation by stimulating collagen production.

Muscle recovery: It can speed up post-workout recovery and reduce inflammation.

Pain relief: It can help relieve joint pain, muscle pain, and stiffness by promoting blood circulation and reducing inflammation.

Hormonal balance: May support adrenal health and reduce stress-related inflammation.

Sleep and mood support: It can boost melatonin production and help regulate circadian rhythms.

How to use Lumibox

Using Lumebox is simple and only takes a few minutes a day:

Make sure the treatment area is clean and dry.

Hold or place the device 6-12 inches away from the target area.

Decide whether you want to use red light, NIR (which is invisible and is used to penetrate the skin deeper), or both.

Let the red and NIR light work their magic while you relax.

For best results, use 3-5 times a week.

How much does Lumebox cost?

The Lumebox is priced at around $629. Although it is an investment, it is much less expensive than in-office red light therapy sessions, which can range from $50 to $150 per session. Currently, it’s 50% off, which is their best offer all year. If you want one, I’ll snag it!

Pros and cons of Lumebox

Pros:

Compact and suitable for travel

Effective wavelengths of red and near infrared light

Easy to use with adjustable intensity

Affordable compared to professional treatments

Helps restore skin, muscles and overall health

cons:

It may take a few weeks to see noticeable results

Not as powerful as larger full body red light panels

Higher initial cost compared to some other home appliances

I absolutely love it and have found it helpful for my mood and aches and pains. I feel pretty good (knock on wood) but after teaching a few classes, I have pain in my hips. I used the Lumebox and it was as good as new the next day 😉 Although it may not replace high-end full-body panels, I think it provides an effective solution for friends looking for skin, muscle recovery and overall health benefits from red light therapy.

We use Lumebox for headaches, menstrual cramps, stomach pain, and skin healing (wound healing), and Maisie loves it too. She cuddles as soon as I take her out!

Do you have to wear eye protection with the Lumebox?

There are some studies that suggest red light can be beneficial for eye health but from what I can tell, it is not an approved eye treatment. Meanwhile, you guys know I’m a weirdo and have been protecting my eyes since the great eye saga. Also, even if red light were approved to go directly to your eyeball, I wouldn’t be the first in line to try it. I don’t wear eye protection, but I don’t squint at the light either. I hold it at about a 45 degree angle so it doesn’t shine directly on my face. It also includes goggles that you can wear.
